Blairsden and Graeagle
Blairsden and Graeagle are located seven miles from Twenty Mile House and are the closest towns.
Head up Old Cromberg Road and turn right (east) at the highway. You will see a sign in about seven miles to turn right toward Truckee on Highway 89.
As you drive under the train tracks, you will see a turn-off to the left; this is the small town of Blairsden. If you continue straight over the bridge, you will enter Graeagle.
We highly suggest taking this quick 10-minute scenic drive.

This is a small general store that sells a selection of most grocery items including fresh produce and butchered meats. They also stock a basic supply of other items such as first aid, sunscreen, bug spray, cleaning supplies, and other household items.

There are numerous small boutique-style gift, jewelry, art, and clothing stores along the main street of Graeagle. They have many interesting and unique items worth checking out.
Quincy
Quincy is the largest town near Twenty Mile House and is located roughly 17 miles to the west.
Head up Old Cromberg Road and turn left (west) at the highway. The highway will take you directly into the town of Quincy. You will initially come upon East Quincy; continue for about two miles over the hill and you will enter the Downtown Quincy District.

This is the largest grocery store in the area. You will see Safeway in the shopping mall on the left after driving through East Quincy and just before the main downtown. They also have a deli that makes sandwiches and some hot takeout food.

This is a great natural organic grocery store in the main downtown Quincy. It is small but has a full range of groceries, fresh produce, meat, and dairy. It also stocks many other items such as natural sunscreen, bug repellant, vitamins, supplements, and an array of other household items.
They also have a small selection of hot takeout food for lunch, prepackaged sandwiches, salads, and other snack foods. They have a small outdoor and indoor seating area and it is a great place for lunch if you are in Quincy.
