Creekside Cabin Information

 
 

Please make yourself at home in the historic warm and inviting Creekside cabin. Originally built in the 1940s it has a rich history of accommodating guests for over 70 years. It is fully equipped to ensure your stay is comfortable. 

Twenty Mile House Grounds

You are welcome to enjoy the grounds and gardens of the 200 acres surrounding the Twenty Mile House. Please help us reduce our ecological footprint by staying on pathways and trails.

Feather River Access

River access is available by following the trail beginning across the train tracks nearest the General Store. The trail is marked by rocks and logs so it is easy to follow. A beach access point is at the end of the 200-foot trail to the river. Please take care and look before crossing the train tracks as it is an active railway line.

*The Feather River and Jackson Creek have fast-flowing currents. There is no lifeguard on duty. Please do not leave children or pets unsupervised in or near the river or creek. Swim and wade at your own risk.

Old Sloat Road

Old Sloat Road is the dirt road extending from the general guest parking area near the main guest house. It provides access to a lovely hiking trail located roughly ¾ of a mile down the road. This hiking trail will bring you to a high point with spectacular river views.

Below you will find information about the amenities we provide during your stay. Should you find yourself in need of assistance, you should be able to locate one of our many helpful members of staff in the General Store, Main House, or surrounding grounds.

We understand the importance of staying connected. Free wireless Internet is available during your stay. The network information is:

Television

There is a television in the living room with an Amazon Fire Stick. Tubi and Amazon Prime are available for your convenience, and you may also choose to login to additional apps using your personal login information.

Organic Coffee and Tea

Organic coffee and tea are provided for you in the cabin. Please let us know if you would like them refilled during your stay. 

Key

A key should be in the front door upon your arrival. On your departure please leave the key in the door or on the dining room table.

Heating and Air-Conditioning

There is a faux fireplace located in the front room. The controls are located on the front of the fireplace. For additional heating there are electric baseboard heaters located in the dining room and the bedroom. Additionally, there is a heating element in the air conditioning unit in the front room.

An air conditioner is located in the living room window. The thermostat controls are located on the remote mounted on the wall. We recommend that you turn off the air conditioner during the night time and open the windows, and then close the windows and turn on the air conditioner during the day.

To help conserve energy, please remember to turn heaters and air conditioners off prior to leaving.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook meals during your stay. Please let us know if there are any additional items you require and we will try to accommodate your request. 

Please ensure the kitchen and dishes are clean and put away upon your departure. 

Trash

There is a bear-proof dumpster behind the General Store if you would like to dispose of full trash bags. You can also notify our staff if you would like us to collect your trash and take it to the dumpster for you. 

Please do not leave trash outside as it will attract bears.

Housekeeping

Please let us know if you have any additional needs for towels, sheets, or other amenities in the cabin. 

There is no daily maid service for the Creekside Cabin.

Hot Tub

There is a hot tub located on the deck outside the big wooden door to the left as you enter the bedroom.

There is a temperature control on the side of the hot tub. The hot tub temperature should never exceed 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Please exit the tub if the temperature rises above this level, decrease the temperature control, and only re-enter when it has gone below 104 degrees Fahrenheit. 

100 degrees Fahrenheit is a safe temperature for healthy adults. Children under 12 are not recommended to use the hot tub. Always closely supervise children in the hot tub and it is advised they only stay in for a few minutes at a time in a temperature not exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 

BBQ

There is a gas BBQ located on the deck beside the bedroom overlooking Jackson creek for your use.

To use, turn on the gas cylinder and use the self-ignition button to light the BBQ. Please make sure to turn the gas cylinder off when you are finished. 

Please clean the BBQ after each use. 

Phone Service

During events, a phone is available to you at all times in the main Twenty Mile House located to the right of the kitchen sink in the cabinet. An additional phone is located in the General Store for use during event hours; please seek assistance from one of our staff members. Any calls made outside of the United States will require the use of a phone card. You are welcome to give family and friends our phone number, 530.836.0375, if they need to reach you during your stay.  

Cell phone service can be unreliable on our property. We suggest making phone calls outside of your accommodations or outside of the General Store. You may also take a scenic drive up Old Cromberg Road and down the highway one mile toward Graeagle. 

Wi-fi calling and texts are possible with the use of our free wifi and phone apps. Apps including this feature are Facebook, Duo, and Whatsapp. You may also access your cell phone settings to enable Wi-fi calling.

Security

Please lock the doors of your cabin when leaving at any time or when going to bed. Please do not leave valuables unattended on the grounds or facilities of Twenty Mile House.

Noise

We ask you to please respect other guests and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.

Pets

Pets are welcome at the Creekside Cabin with prior approval. We love pets and ask that you do the following to ensure your pet has an enjoyable stay:

  • Please keep your pet on-leash around the cabins and Main House grounds. There is great off-leash dog-walking along the Old Sloat road – the dirt road that extends from the Twenty Mile House parking area.

  • Please pick up and dispose of any pet waste. There is a dumpster located behind the General Store where you can dispose of pet waste that is contained in a plastic bag.

  • Please do not leave your pet unattended inside the cabin or leave your pet tied up outside the cabin alone.

  • Please do not allow your pet on the beds or couches.

  • Please review the Pet Policy information you received at check-in for further information.

Creek

There is a steep drop-off into the creek from the back of the Creekside Cabin. Please take care and supervise your children closely at all times. The creek can have strong currents and there is no lifeguard on duty. Swim and wade at your own risk.
