Reasons To Explore Historic Wedding Venues in California

A Storied Past

Twenty Mile House was built on family, community, and a love of the land. In 1854, Twenty Mile House was born as a stagecoach stop and trading post. From a place for travelers to take refuge, Twenty Mile House grew to be a general store, post office, and more.

Over the last nearly 200 years, Twenty Mile House has lived many lives and seen many changes as it returns to its roots: a place of refuge and rebirth, this time for lovers.

You won’t find a story like ours at a traditional wedding ballroom or villa. What better place to tell your love story than between the historic walls and the elder trees of Twenty Mile House?

No Noise Ordinances

It’s the biggest day of your life. Who wants to stop the celebration when it’s barely gotten started?

One of the most popular things our couples love about our historic wedding venue is the freedom to celebrate into the night without any strict noise ordinances and curfews hanging over their heads.

At our private historic location, you can dance under the stars until the sun comes up. Sing along to your favorite songs at the top of your lungs, we don’t have neighbors for acres.

Celebrate your day on your terms, and if the magic spills over into the night, follow it as far as it will take you.

Convenient Accommodations

The ease of having accommodations on-site is a luxury not always offered at traditional wedding venues or ballrooms unless you opt for a resort wedding.

At Twenty Mile House, you get the best of both worlds: the vintage elegance of a historic wedding venue, with the convenient accommodations of a resort.

As your home away from home, our main guest house — an antique brick home built in 1854 — sleeps 14 guests with four guest rooms.

We also offer six different cabins, cottages, and lodges to house another 40 guests. At Twenty Mile House, you and your guests can spend the day exploring the local area and return for a breathtaking Sierra sunset in our gardens.
