Their are hundreds of nearby trails to choose from that appeal to both the casual stroller to even the most experienced hiker. Plumas Eureka State Park offers beautiful hiking trails and fascinating mining history. At elevations of 6,500′ to 8,000′, the Lakes Basin Recreation Area is home to over 40 natural alpine lakes and 11,000 acres of wilderness, streams and trails including the Pacific Crest.
In addition Bucks Lake Wilderness Areas is a short drive and offers hikers
some of the most spectacular scenery and hiking trails around, Bucks Lake has over 20,000 acres of diverse plant life, trees and landscape features
There are numerous mountain biking trails to choose from in the surrounding areas. The famous Downieville downhill is just 40 minutes away. Hire mountain bikes and book a shuttle in nearby Graeagle.
With breathtaking scenery and mountain backdrops, golfing at any one of Graeagle’s six golf courses can offer golfers a most challenging and rewarding day.

The Twenty Mile House is the ideal place for anglers. Situated on the Middle fork of the Feather River which is a designated Wild Scenic River, it is home to native rainbow and brown trout. Private access to two miles of river frontage assures good fishing right at your doorstep. Two additional creeks, Jackson creek and 20-Mile creek, flow into the Middle Fork along our private stretch of river.
Our single-barbless hook, no bait, and catch and release policies, assure that the end of season fishing is as exciting as the early spring hatches. In addition there is plentiful fishing in the surrounding lakes of the area including Lake Davis and Bucks Lake.
Kayaking, Inner Tubing and Boating
Float down the Class I and II middle fork of the Feather River near the Twenty Mile House in inner tubes, canoes or kayaks. For experienced boaters experience the thrill of the wild and scenic middle fork of the Feather River through a beautiful canyon just below the Twenty Mile House. In addition there are many boating opportunities on nearby Lake Davis and Bucks Lake.
With so many places to cross country and backcountry ski in Plumas County, Nordic skiers will find a variety of trails ranging from open flat areas to challenging peaks and more difficult terrain. Join us for the annual Plumas ski club classic long board racing.
